Three Tools to Beat Burnout - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites

Are you feeling burned out at work lately?

Burnout usually happens when your work hours are long and you’re in a high-stress position. According to the World Health Organization, symptoms of burnout are chronic low energy levels, feelings of distance or negativity about your job, and a feeling of cynicism about the difference you make through the work you do.

Burnout has far more to do with your own mental outlook than it does with your working conditions, and while that might sound accusatory, I want you to feel your own power in conquering burnout.

Using just a few simple wellbeing tools each day, you have the power to banish burnout and regain your passion for your work. Put these three tools to work for you each day: quiet your mind for 15 minutes every day, ideally at the start of your day; call a mentor or friend each day to just touch base or ask for advice; shift your mental focus from the deficiencies of your team members to their strengths.

When you can incorporate these three wellbeing tools to your day successfully, you’ll be astonished at how much better and more positive you’ll feel about the work you’re doing.
