Three Words You Can Use to Build Your Confidence - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites
Would you like more self-confidence? Here’s an exercise I suggest you to do every day.
Yes, every day. You can do it while you’re brushing your teeth, because it’s just that easy.
The reason I want you to pair this new daily exercise with one you already do each day is because that’s the easiest way to create a new habit – pair it with one you’ve had for years. While you’re brushing your teeth, say the first two words I’m giving you and then fill in the blank with as many good words as you can honestly say about yourself: “I am ____.”
When you first start doing this, it could be tough for you to find words of appreciation about yourself that you can say without feeling like a fraud – trust me when I tell you this exercise will get easier each day you do it. Not only will it get easier, your self-confidence will get stronger, too.
Most of us spend a lot of time disapproving of ourselves, beating ourselves up, and generally tearing ourselves down in subtle ways. In this exercise, you will be intentionally building yourself back up again.
Keep it positive, keep it honest, and do it daily.
