Are You Trapped by How You Feel? - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites

When was the last time you felt joy? Excitement? Anticipation? Trepidation? Irritation? Fear?

Depending on which research study you believe, humans have either 8 or 27 or 34,000 different emotions. If you think about the many different ways you have felt in your life, you realize that counting them doesn’t matter – feeling them does.

It’s not possible to be deliriously happy 100% of the time, and it wouldn’t even feel that good after a while. What is happy if you don’t have sad to compare it to?

Try not to get caught in the trap of judging your feelings and then judging yourself for the quality of those feelings – instead, feel them, figure out why you feel the way you do, and decide if you want to keep feeling that way. We’re supposed to feel and then learn from our feelings.
