Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites - Quick, Share Your List
If I asked you what bothers you most, you could probably tell me a list of things pretty quickly.
It’s ok – that’s a very human trait. Even the most positive people focus often enough on what bothers them that they could spit out a list, too. The thing that very positive people have in common is that they also focus on what delights them. They created the habit – consciously or not – of noticing and appreciating good things as well as noticing the irritations in their life.
Did you hear the very good news in what I just said?
If you want to learn to be more positive, teach yourself to notice and appreciate the things that most people take for granted. Enjoy your body’s abilities, whatever they are, to help you navigate your day. Walking is amazing, and if you can’t walk well, isn’t it wonderful that someone created canes, rollators and wheel chairs to get you where you need to go? The taste of food…the smell of your child’s hair…the feel of a light breeze across your skin…the sound of your favorite song. If I asked you what you enjoy most, have that list ready to share, too.
Teach yourself to focus on the good and soon you’ll be bursting with positivity, too.
