Research at the University of California Riverside found that the stress of uncertainty is worst at the beginning of an uncertain time, eases up as time goes on, and then worsens as a conclusion nears. Are we near a conclusion? Who knows?
Humans would rather have bad news than have uncertainty, and many people are feeling much more anxious than normal. When you can be the calm center in a storm of uncertainty, your family, friends and co-workers will feel calmer, too.
