How to Stop Being Angry at Someone You Love - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast

Is there someone in your life who makes you angry? They screw things up, or they don’t do what they say they’ll do, or they fail to please you in some other way?

If there’s someone in your life who upsets you often, guess what? The two of you are dancing a dance because you’ve agreed to dance with them.

Wait – I’m not telling you that you have to kick them out of your life right away! I’m saying they can only make you angry if you let them.

If it’s someone you have to deal with – a family member, co-worker, or friend – then you know who they are. Believe them.

  • Understand that for this part of their life they’re not quite getting it right.
  • Understand that maybe it’s your expectations that are too high.
  • Understand that it’s their life and when they suffer the consequences of their failures, they have the opportunity to learn and grow.

When you can look at their failures as steps to success instead of personal attacks on you, you take a bigger-picture view of the dance floor – one that allows you to sit the dance out for a while.
