Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites - Do You Need to Quiet-Quit a Person?

When you realize that someone you love or admire is bad for your mental wellbeing, it’s ok to love them and give them a smaller space in your life. It’s ok to walk away from them and never look back.

You can still love them as you let them go. You don’t have to live the drama that movies and TV shows dish up – you are not a character in a scripted show, you are the director of your own life. You get to choose how you leave, and you get to choose to leave. You can even do it without saying a word to the other person. Give them a smaller role in the story that is your life for your own mental wellbeing, and chances are they won’t even know. Slowly make their role smaller, until they’re not a player in your life anymore.

Your wellbeing is more important than anyone’s feelings, and you are the only person who can direct your life to create more of it.
